Renommee

The Renommee is the successor to our most successful Casablanca ever, the Prestige and is available in two different versions, giving users a choice of specifications:

- Renommee with an Intel Pentium 4 processor 3,0 GHz, 512 MB DDR-RAM

- Renommee PLUS with an Intel Pentium 4 processor, 3,8 GHz, 1024 MB DDR2-RAM

In terms of rendering and processing speed, the Renommee is on a par with the current Solitaire system, whilst the Renommee PLUS is comparable to a Solitaire PLUS. Both Renommees are shipped with a 300 GB hard-drive in an exchangeable drive sled and with a Pioneer DVD burner (latest generation). Although both systems are in fact newly designed, we have decided to retain the popular case design of the Prestige.

Software installation is possible from CD/DVD, Renommee therefore no longer requires a Smart Media drive. The HD sled is compatible with the Prestige – which means current Prestige sleds and drives can be used with Renommee. No need to loose any projects when upgrading! Using the latest components, Renommee is almost five times faster than a Prestige! The table below gives an indication of the performance increase. Renommee is the ideal machine for demanding users, especially for those wishing to edit HDV.
