Remove five screws from the rear

Use flat bladed screwdriver to lever cabinet top away from back plate at either side alternately until there is about 2cm gap either side. When retaining lugs are clear lift of cabinet top complete with front

Hard drive is mounted in a bracket secured to the base with one screw.

Remove screw and slide drive and bracket backwards releasing the securing lugs. The drive and bracket may now be lifted out and cables removed.

Remove the four screws securing the  drive to the bracket

Remember to re-locate DVD drive and tighten securing screws. Replace cabinet top ensuring the lugs locate and firmly push back evenly against rear plate. If the top is not pushed back completely, front power switch may not work.

You now need to install the operating system from your Smartmedia card before switching on. Then load Arabesk and any other software from your Additional Software CD

Before installing the new hard drive, check the position of the jumper on the rear of the drive. It should be in the “Master” position indicated in the illustration. Some drives are shipped with the jumper in the cable select position.

Fit the new hard drive into the bracket and reverse the procedure. Once complete the new drive will need the Casablanca operating system loading before use.
